DELPSI, LLC

About Delpsi, LLC

Delpsi, LLC was created in 2007 to provide computational services in the area of electromagnetic modeling and optics (see “activities” for more details) . Our projects initially built upon research activities that were carried out at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the US Department of Defense, and quickly extended to the medical field as well. Currently, projects span from the very low frequency regime (magneto-quasi-static for the detection of unexploded ordnances and improvised explosive devices), to microwave frequencies (for breast cancer diagnostic), to optical frequencies (for optical trapping and binding). Applications range from military, to imaging, telecommunications, and bioengineering.

Delpsi, LLC has been created to provide services to both research institutions as well as small or large companies, in search of high standard consulting or development skills in all aspects of electromagnetic modeling and optics. Typically, experimental work is performed within the institution or company whereas Delpsi, LLC assists you in the modeling and results interpretation, and can work hand in hand with your R&D department. Think of us as being part of your team for the duration of your choosing.

About Tomasz M. Grzegorczyk

Tomasz M. Grzegorczyk received his Ph.D. degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, in December 2000. In January 2001, he joined the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, where he is has been a research scientist until July 2007. Since then, he is a Research Affiliate at the RLE-MIT, and founder and president of Delpsi, LLC, a company devoted to research in electromagnetics and optics. His research interests include the study of wave propagation in complex media and left-handed metamaterials, electromagnetic induction from spheroidal and ellipsoidal objects for unexploded ordnances modeling, optical binding and trapping phenomena, and microwave imaging. He is a senior member of the IEEE, member of the OSA, has been a Visiting Scientist at the Institute of Mathematical Studies at the National University of Singapore, and has been appointed as Adjunct Professor of The Electromagnetics Academy at Zheijiang Universtity in Hangzhou, China, in July 2004. From 2001 to 2007 he has been part of the Technical Program Committee of the Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium and of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications and Progress In Electromagnetics Research series.

As founder and president of Delpsi, LLC, Dr. Tomasz M. Grzegorczyk is interested in all aspects of electromagnetics and optics, emphasizing the development of mathematical tools for the simulation, prediction, and understanding of physical phenomena.
